How it works

1. The picture: Any picture, made in Fil or yours.

   Make one from a prompt on your canvas, or drop in a photo. Point at it, click Edit, then Outpaint.

2. The frame: A new shape, filled to match.

   Pick 16:9 for a banner or 9:16 for a story, zoom out for room on every side, and drag the picture where it sits. GPT Image 2.5 continues the scene past its edges.

3. More edits: Then change part of it.

   Every picture has the same Edit rail: Inpaint to change one part, Crop, free Effects, Camera angle and Layers, each kept beside the last.

Questions

Does it change my picture?

No. Your picture is kept as it was, and only the new space around it is made. The result is a new picture beside the original.

Which shapes can I pick?

Original, 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2, 2:3 or 21:9, at its size or zoomed out. The try zooms out to 2×; in Fil, to 2.5×, and you drag the picture where it sits.

Can I say what goes in the new space?

Yes. Name what you want there, such as “a harbour town” or “plain sky for a title”, and it’s added to what Fil asks for.

What does it cost in Fil?

From 6 credits for a 21:9 frame to 12 for a square one, at 2K. Credits are held at the price shown and charged at cost; a run that fails gives them back.

Where does my picture go?

Into a canvas in your Fil account, private, the new picture beside the original. You’re on the waitlist, and they’re waiting there when your invite comes.

Is the try really free?

Yes, one try for each account. Fil pays for it, so there’s a daily limit: if it’s reached, come back tomorrow.
