Posting to TikTok and YouTube works today. Both are still reviewing Fil’s app, so until they finish TikTok keeps Fil’s posts private and YouTube shows Google’s unverified-app screen when you connect.

Where Fil is different

Clips are one step, not the whole tool.

The same canvas reads the video, cuts the shorts and edits the long version: a timeline with transitions, keyframes, chapters and captions you can export as SRT or WebVTT, for edits up to an hour.

OpusClip: A clip editor, with XML out to Premiere and Resolve on Pro (pricing)

The pictures, made here too.

Make the thumbnail with GPT Image or Nano Banana, paint over what should change, then turn a still into the shot you’re missing with Kling, Seedance or Grok Imagine, and add a voiceover or music.

OpusClip: AI image and stock B-roll; AI video B-roll on Pro (pricing)

Post it where your people are.

A post turns your clip into each platform’s shape, previews it as that platform shows it, and publishes it to the accounts you connect, from the canvas.

OpusClip: A scheduler and calendar for nine platforms, which Fil doesn’t have yet (calendar)

Questions

Is Fil a good OpusClip alternative?

Yes, for talking videos like podcasts, interviews and demos, especially if you also edit the full video in Fil. For footage with little talking, a virality score or scheduled posts, OpusClip does more.

How much does clipping cost in Fil?

About 55 credits to read an hour of video and about 140 to cut 10 clips from it, so roughly $2. Each run shows its price before it starts. OpusClip charges a credit per minute you bring in: Pro is $29 a month for 300.

Does Fil add captions to clips?

Yes. Every clip gets captions timed to each word, and you can restyle them, fix any word, or download them as SRT or WebVTT.

Can Fil schedule posts?

Not yet. You can post a finished clip right away to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads or LinkedIn.

Can I bring in a YouTube video?

Yes, through Fil for Mac, which downloads it from your own computer. In the browser you can upload a file or use a Dropbox, Drive or direct link.

Can I use Fil today?

Fil is invite-only while it’s in beta. Sign in with Google and join the waitlist; invited friends of members get in sooner.
