Fil vs FLORA
FLORA is a node canvas for design and brand teams producing at scale. Fil is a node canvas too, built to finish the work: it edits the video, publishes the site and presents the deck.

The short answer

Pick FLORA if
- Your brand team makes many versions of one concept.
- You need Veo or Sora, a REST API, SSO or FCPXML.
Pick Fil if
- You want the picture, the film and the site on one canvas.
- You finish videos yourself, or want video on a free plan.

Where Fil is different
Cut it all the way to the end.
Transitions, keyframes, effects and captions timed to each word, pauses and fillers taken out in a click, and Clips that turn a long video into shorts. Download it up to 4K on every plan.
- Clips, pictures, words, music and voice on one timeline
- Delete words from the transcript, and the cut follows
- Shorts found, judged head to head and framed 9:16
FLORA: A timeline with 10 tracks and captions; no crossfades, effects or keyframes (docs)
The page that sells it, too.
The picture you made becomes the hero of a site, wired on the same canvas. Fil keeps every page, its content and its design system in step, then publishes it at your own address.
- Design systems and components shared by every page
- Pages with a CMS, or a React app
- Forms, analytics and your own domain
FLORA: No websites mentioned among its node types (docs)
A deck worth presenting.
Start from a design or ask for a deck, then edit it as you would in Keynote. Present it with presenter view, or export it to PowerPoint, Keynote or PDF.
- Designs like Film, Blueprint and Keycap
- Transitions, Magic Move and builds
- Presenter view: your notes, the next slide and a timer
FLORA: Deck nodes that agents make over MCP (MCP changelog)
Where FLORA is better
- Models Fil doesn’t have. Veo 3.1, Sora 2 Pro, Runway Gen-4.5, Luma and Rodin are on FLORA and not on Fil. (docs)
- Production at scale. The Batch node runs hundreds of generations at once, Elements keep a character or product consistent, and Techniques turn a workflow into an app your team runs. (post) (docs)
- Handing off to editors. FLORA’s timeline exports EDL, XML and FCPXML for Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut. Fil exports MP4s. (docs)
- LoRAs and fashion. Train LoRAs on Flux 2 and Krea 2, and take a sketch to try-on to Shopify in Fashion Studio. Fil has neither. (post) (post)
- Enterprise. SSO, SAML and dedicated support, with Pentagram and Lionsgate among its customers. Fil has no Enterprise plan, and it’s invite-only while in beta. (pricing) (home)
Questions
Is Fil a good FLORA alternative?
Yes, if you want a node canvas that also finishes the work: video editing, 3D scenes, websites and slides. If you mostly batch images for a brand team, FLORA’s Batch node, Elements and Techniques are built for that.
Which is cheaper, Fil or FLORA?
Both start at $18 a month and sell model use at cost. Fil’s team seats are smaller and cheaper ($30 and $100 against $50 and $200), its free plan gives up to 1,000 credits a month, and you can buy packs that never expire.
Does Fil have the same models as FLORA?
Many of them: Nano Banana, GPT Image, Seedream, FLUX, Ideogram, Kling, Seedance, Wan, ElevenLabs, Lyria, Tripo and Meshy. FLORA also has Veo, Sora and Runway, which Fil doesn’t.
Can I edit video in Fil like in FLORA’s Timeline Editor?
Yes, and further: Fil’s editor has transitions, keyframes, effects and word-timed captions, and downloads up to 4K on every plan. FLORA’s timeline exports EDL, XML and FCPXML, which Fil doesn’t.
Does Fil have an API?
Fil has an MCP server, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and ChatGPT can work on your canvases. It has no public REST API yet.
Can I use Fil today?
Fil is invite-only while it’s in beta. Sign in with Google and join the waitlist; invited friends of members get in sooner.
