Figma Weave, Weavy until Figma bought it, pairs many AI models with pro image editing. Fil adds what comes after: working live together, cutting the video, building the 3D scene, publishing the site.

Where Fil is different

One canvas, everyone on it.

Several people edit one canvas at once, comment on it and meet on it by camera, on every plan.

Figma Weave: Teammates’ files are read-only unless their owner shares them (help)

Then cut it into a video.

Pictures become clips with Kling, Seedance, Wan and Grok Imagine, and the clips an edit, on the same canvas: transitions, keyframes and captions timed to each word. Fil’s free plan has every model, video included.

Figma Weave: A timeline to trim, reorder and mute layers; no video models on Free (help) (pricing)

Your agent lays out the canvas.

Connect Claude Code, Codex or Cursor in one line, then ask it in your terminal: it builds the canvas in Fil live and runs it, with the tools the studio has and your credits.

Figma Weave: Figma’s MCP runs Weave tools but can’t create or edit workflows (help)

Where Figma Weave is better

Questions

Is Figma Weave the same as Weavy?

Yes. Figma bought Weavy in October 2025 and renamed it Figma Weave. It still runs as its own app at weave.figma.com, with its own plans.

Is Fil a good Weavy alternative?

Yes, if you want to work on a canvas together live and turn results into videos, 3D scenes and websites. If you need deep image editing or AI inside your Figma frames, Weave fits better.

Does a Figma plan include Weave?

No. Weave’s pricing page says a paid Figma plan doesn’t include it; only the Weave tools inside Figma Design use Figma AI credits.

Which is cheaper?

Fil starts at $18 a month, or $14.40 paid yearly; Weave starts at $24 a month, or $202 a year. Credits differ in size, so compare by what you make: both show a model’s price before it runs.

Can I import my own LoRAs into Fil?

No. Fil runs the models in its list. Weave lets you import LoRAs and models from Fal, Replicate and CivitAI.

Can I use Fil today?

Fil is invite-only while it’s in beta. Sign in with Google and join the waitlist; invited friends of members get in sooner.
