# Logo explorations

## Read first
- Brief.md: the name, what the brand does, its personality and its colours. Every mark answers it.
- A logo or sketch wired in: keep what already works in it (its shape, colour or idea) unless the direction says otherwise.

## Exploration sheet (3:2)
- Six to nine marks in a 3 × 2 or 3 × 3 grid, each centred in its own cell with generous space, on one flat background colour from the brief.
- Without a logo wired in, each mark is a different idea within the direction, not versions of one. With one, each is a distinct treatment of it: line, faceted, woven, filled, outlined, monoline.
- Flat vector shapes and consistent stroke weights. Every mark reads at 16 px and in one colour.
- A wordmark spells the brand name exactly, letter by letter, lowercase unless the brief says otherwise. Each wordmark is a different construction (joins, cuts, a symbol in a letter), never the same letters in another font.
- Small numbers under each mark (01 to 06) are fine; no other text.

## Brand board (16:9)
- Built around one mark: the chosen mark when one is wired in, else the strongest across the sheets.
- Laid out like a studio presentation: the mark large, a horizontal lockup with the wordmark, the app icon, the palette with hex codes, a type pairing and the mark in one or two real places (a phone screen, a card, a sign).
- Thin dividers, generous margins and a quiet background from the palette.

## Avoid
Clip-art symbols, swooshes and globes, symbols that read as another trade (a cut gem for salt, a mandala for anything calm), letters that don't match the name or each other across a sheet, stray sparkles, drop shadows, bevels, more than three colours, and anything that only works large.
